Malaga Airport or as it is known in Spanish ‘Aeropuerto de Málaga-Costa del Sol’, is the fourth busiest of all the airports in Spain and is also the most Southern airport in Europe. The airport is a new and modern airport that is very popular throughout the year with tourists wanting to reach the many towns and holidays resorts along the Costa Del Sol. Due to the new airport building, the airport now provides great facilities for passengers arriving and departing from the airport. Due to the large amount of passenger traffic throughout the year, it also has a very good Ground Support system in place. Arrivals
Terminal 3 is the Terminal designated for Arrivals at the airport and the Arrivals area can only be accessed through this Terminal.
Departures
Departures from Malaga Airport leave from both Terminals 2 and Terminals 3. The airline that you are flying with, will determine which Terminal you depart from.
Buses From Malaga Airport
Passengers arriving at the Airport have a wide choice of public bus services and these bus service connect passengers with many towns, villages and cities throughout the region and close to the airport. The public bus services operate at regular times throughout the day from outside the Arrivals Terminal and provide an efficient and cost effective form of transfer to and from Malaga Airport.
There are regular bus services that connect passengers with the centre of Malaga itself and the journey time from Malaga Airport to the centre of Malaga is approximately 15 minutes. The A Express Service Line 75 is the most popular service and cost just a few Euros each way.
There is a bus service that runs from the airport to Marbella but the bus times change during the Summer and Winter months. The journey time on the bus from the airport to Marbella is around 45 minutes.
Bus Tickets: You must now purchase your ticket before you board the bus and you can buy your bus tickets from the ticket office outside the Arrivals are.
Bus From Malaga Airport To Torremolinos and Benalmadena
There is a regular bus service (Line M 128 ) that connects passengers from Malaga Airport to Torremolinos and Benalmadena. The journey time from the airport to Torremolinos is approximately 30 minutes and the journey time from the airport to benalmadena is approximately 50 minutes depending on traffic.

Train
Malaga Airport is connected to many different destinations along the Costa Del Sol via rail link. Passengers arriving at the airport can reach destinations such a Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Fuengirola by train. The trains run at regular intervals (approximately every 20 minutes) throughout the day from the early hours of the morning until late at night.
Please Note: The train terminates at Fuengirola. If you are wanting to reach resorts such as Marbella or Puerto Banus, you will need to catch a bus or taxi from the station at Fuengirola.
If you are wanting to reach other destinations, you will need to catch a train to the main train station (Maria Zambrano Station) in Malaga and from there you can catch a train to many cities in mainland Spain such as Madrid and Seville.

There are a large number of shops located throughout all the Terminals at the airport and passengers can buy a wide range of products such as Duty Free items, food, gifts, Tobacco, perfumes, jewellery and fashion.
Bars And Cafes
As you would expect with any major International airport, there are a plenty of food outlets selling a range of cuisines. Located throughout the airport Terminals you can also find bars that sell a selection of both soft and alcoholic drinks. The bars and cafes can be found on both ‘Air’ side and ‘Land’ side of the airport Terminals.
VIP Lounge
There is a VIP Lounge located in Terminal 3 and if you are wanting to use the Lounge, you will either need to have the appropriate Boarding pass or have purchased access through one of the Lounge access programmes.
